Birch Aquarium

I just started Volunteering at the Birch Aquarium. I LOVE it!
I am an Exhibits Interpreter. I stand outside with at the tide/touching pools. My job is to protect the animals, but also to help the visitors make a connection with the animals, by answering questions, telling them cool things, and helping them touch them.
I get to work with a lot of kids- some of them adorable angels, others not so perfect.
On my first day, we had two kids both fall in because they were reaching too far and slipped. Both happened within 1 minute. The kids were fine, and so were the animals- so it was ok.
If you've never been to the Birch Aquarium, I highly recommend you go, and if I go with you, you can get a discount price of 5 dollars! Or come and surprise me while I am working!
